Everyone at work is fighting about what programming language they like so I'm gonna take a break to post on this blog.
Powerset had a big press release and an article in the New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/09/technology/09license.html?ref=technology. Meanwhile all the bloggers found all the blogs of people in the company except mine. It's funny how personal some of them are: for example Tim, currently my manager and friend from Yahoo has this blog that I never knew about: http://timconverse.com/blog/.
I never write my full name here so that it will never come up in search engines, but now I'm wondering, do I really care? One of the best things about my new job is that my coworkers are closer to being friends. I can joke about smoking pot, looking at porn etc. So maybe it doesn't matter. If they don't like it they can always pretend they didn't see it.
On that note, last night Tess and I went to a David Lynch movie at the Castro and then an afterparty at the current studios of kink.com, a bondage porn site. It was crazy all the different stages they had set up. The fake jail, the fake stable, etc. I hope I can figure out a way to go check them out after they move into the armory (http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t&ct=us/0-0&fp=45ccf6892c7f6286&ei=ZMrMRa20LojyoQL44f3WBQ&url=http%3A//cbs5.com/local/local_story_039205738.html&cid=1113400426)

I love how the NY Times article ends with that quote from Marissa being like "Oh, they can't do it, not for five more years." It must feel good to get set up like David tackling Goliath even though you have millions of dollars of funding, :)
